Nycoprotec 05 is a petroleum oil with a viscosity of 226 cSt at 40°C. It is based on a mineral piston engine oil fo rtified with a corrosion-inhibiting additive package.
Nycoprotec 05 is used as a storage oil to protect aircraft components from corrosion (such as helicopter transmission gearbox). It may be applied by spraying or brushing on external components.
Internal components are usually protected by filling with the oil.
Nycoprotec 05 is usually drained prior to use.
