Sherlock Leak Detector is used to detect leaks in pipe joints, pipe connections, tanks or any system under gas or air pressure. The surface to be tested is simply wiped with a brush, sprayed with a spray bottle or sprayed with a spray bottle. Small leaks form white foam in 5 to 60 seconds. Large leaks form large bubbles almost immediately. Both Type 1 and Type 2 are neutral solutions that can be used in a pure oxygen environment because they do not contain oil, grease or other components that could combine with oxygen and cause burns or explosions. Conforms to MIL-PRF-25567E. Type I is suitable for use from +35 degrees to +160 degrees Fahrenheit.
